Dreaming of You tells the story of a New York poet, Melissa, who, amidst her heartbreak and loneliness, decides to resurrect the beloved Tejana pop star Selena Quintanilla Perez from the dead.

Through karaoke, love letters, imagined dialogues with dead celebrities, and chisme told by a chorus of abuelas, tías, and cousins - Dreaming of You immerses us into an eerie and absurd alternate-reality that holds a mirror up to us all and reflects the parts of ourselves that we’ve contorted to fit a beholder’s gaze.

Previous workshop production presented at New York Theatre Workshop - March 2023 and The Mercury Store in July 2025.
