Originally premiered as a radio drama in 1942, The City Wears a Slouch Hat follows an enigmatic, mysterious drifter through a series of bizarre encounters in a nameless city—an absurd, surreal play exploring the alienation of urban life and the nature of sound itself. 
 

With Kenneth Patchen's unconventional narrative and John Cage's bold percussion score, this reimagined production offers a distinctive theatrical experience, underscoring the need for human connection amid urban chaos.
