ANDREW RODRIGUEZ
Andrew Rodriguez (AGR) is an NYC-based performer and director whose work intersects dance, fashion, visual arts, film, and theatre. Committed to expanding the theatrical canon, he adapts, develops, and creates new works ranging from intimate, minimalist productions to large-scale multidisciplinary works.

His approach bridges text and design, utilizing the limitless expressive potential of theatre and the human body to explore human behavior. He merges the genres of surrealism and realism to create immersive experiences that illuminate an array of experiences and perspectives that resonate with audiences on a sensory and emotional level.

AGR has developed and created work with companies and institutions, including The Mercury Store, New York Theatre Workshop, Nancy Manocherian's the cell theatre (2024 Resident Artist), NYU Atlantic Acting School Studio, The Rude Mechs, line-upon-line percussion, David Geffen School of Drama at Yale University (Yale Cabaret & Yale Summer Cabaret), Yale School of Music, Actors Theatre of Louisville, The Hidden Room Theatre, and UT-Austin.

Rodriguez is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin (BFA, 2019), a former Acting Apprentice at Actors Theatre of Louisville (2019-2020), an alumnus of The Juilliard School Drama Division's Professional Apprenticeship Program (2020-2021), and is a former 2050 Directing Fellow at New York Theatre Workshop (2022 - 2023). Previously, Andrew worked at Atlantic Theater Company as the Artistic Director of Conservatory Productions and Student Affairs Coordinator for Conservatory Programming (2021 - 2024). M.F.A. in Directing at the David Geffen School of Drama at Yale.
